Football trials and extra training

I mentioned in the previous post about the North West County
football trials being called off. Well they were rearranged for the
09/10/2008.

About 40 girls took part, some of my friends from Man City
attended and it was good to see them (I had to stop playing
for City due to lack of transport). The City under 14 girls
team I played for was probably one of the best teams in
the country. We won the International Umbro Cup in 2006
and just narrowly lost 1-0 in the final of 2007 to an older
Liverpool side.

In the trials I played in midfield and on the right wing. I
managed to score six goals. I don't think I played my
best footie; but I think I played well enough to get picked.
We will just have to see, I will let you know how I got on
when the coach informs the college.

We are still on a break from Athletics I can't wait to get back
into training, I have bought a big carton of Gatorade and
knowing our coach I will definitely need it.

On Friday I trained with my other coach, my worst nightmare,
my dad, only dad's can treat you this way. So if you want to
improve your finishing speed then read on.

Extra training:
Warm up jog to the place of torture, around 2 miles in dad lingo.
Run 6oom to bottom of hill near to race pace, sprint up hill, easy
as that. (suffer heart failure and ring ambulance)
Hang on you didn't think that was it did you, no way.
Walk slowly back to dad, who is smiling holding rucksack in hands.
He says "While your tired, I'll help you put the rucksack on." Bless,
my dad's so caring.
Sprint up the hill around 75m with 5 kg in the sack.
Walk or crawl slowly back and repeat 3 more times.
Have a drinks break, drink 3 gallons of Gatorade and collapse.
Jog 2 miles back home as a warm down

Has anyone got the number for the prevention of
cruelty to athletes.

Yours in sport

Emma
