Hi all,
I have been busy revising for my AS levels and all
the hard work paid of as I got an A in history, PE,
Psychology and a B in English so even though I think I am
a bit thick my results say otherwise or was I really
just dead lucky, well time will tell:-)
Anyway I will stop wittering on and get down to the
sports.
I am now playing for Wigan Athletic Ladies FC. My
athletics coach is still nagging me to concentrate on
my running; but I love playing football to much.
Anyway I feel that playing center midfield will give
me the edge in athletics as I cover many miles during
a game with regular changes of pace.
So far this season we have only lost one game, our first
game against Morecambe, I played up front and scored
in a 2-1 defeat. We didn't play very well and I missed
loads of chances.
All the other games we have won and the signs are
good for the season, we are solid defensively and have a
real goal threat.
We are also through to the third round of the Ladies FA Cup
after beating Chester City and Whitehaven both 2-0.
I got player of the match in both games and scored in each
game.
On the Athletics front I have just finished speed training
and have a long winter of endurance training to look forward
to, my dad can't wait.
Thanks Emma
Oh and I promise not to be such a lazy cow and post
more:-)

We Won The Cup
Winter training is going well. I have been working on endurance
and speed. Training as mostly consisted of 3 to 4 mile runs
against the clock with landmark sprints. Each run usually as
around 3 or 4 sprints inserted into it. I usually pick out a
lamppost or building as a start and finish to the sprint.
On a sad note I will be leaving my current club Wigan Harriers
due to an increase in training and team costs,; but on a happier
note I will be joining and competing for a new club in the summer.
On the girls football front most of our matches have been
cancelled due to the weather. In fact the only game I have
played recently was for my college in the final of the North
West College Cup against Manchester College which we won 3-2.
I hope I will have lots of news to post in the future.
Kind regards
Emma
